Lil’ Renegades
Lil’ Renegades is a six week program held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. The hour-long session is broken up into two parts, instruction and scrimmages. To play in U4 your child’s date of birth must fall between 8/1/2008 – 7/31/2009. These are state requirements and we are unable to make any exceptions.
Program size is limited and space does fill up fast!
Cost: $50

U-5 / U-6
Pre-K play in the U5 division, Kindergarten play in U6 division in a 4 v 4 format. The division uses a Size 3 ball and played on small sized fields. Games are played against other ROYSA teams and usually all in one centralized location.
Cost: $50

U-7 / U-8
1st and 2nd graders playing a 5 v 5 format on a 50 yard x 30 yard field using a Size 3 ball. Games are scheduled against ROYSA and CYS teams.
Cost: $60

Ages: U-7 = 8/1/2005 – 7/31/2006 U-8 = 8/1/2004 – 7/31/2005

U-9 / U-10
3th & 4th graders playing a 6 v 6 format on a 70 yard x 40 yard field using a Size 4 ball. Games are scheduled against ROYSA, CYS, and MHYSA teams.

U-11 / U-12
5th & 6th graders playing an 8 v 8 format on a 90 yard x 50 yard field using a Size 4 ball. Games are scheduled against ROYSA, CYS, and MHYSA teams.

U-13 / U-14
7th & 8th graders playing an 11 v 11 format on full size fields using a Size 5 ball. Games are scheduled against ROYSA, SOCS, CYS, VSYSL, MHYSA, and BBSC teams.
Cost: $65

An 11 v 11 format for high school players; most games are played on Sunday late afternoons with occasional Saturday afternoon games.

Please come out and show your ROYSA pride.

Players please wear any ROYSA spririt wear you have and bring your pet if it can make the trek.
We will have candy to pass/throw to children and some noise makers to get us recognized.
This year for parents marching with children you can park at Saint Marys parking lot and get shuttled to parade start so your vehicle will be at the end of the route.

Please be sharp and dressed warm at 10am.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, the location and times of the ROYSA Goal Keeper Training have changed.  They are STILL starting TONIGHT however there are the following changes:

Location:  Oakland Elementary School – 2415 Brockton Avenue (not Oakridge)

Times:  U-10 & Under – 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
            U-11 & Older – 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Dates:  Now 1/11, 1/18, 2/1, 2/8, 2/29, 3/14

STARTS THIS WEDNESDAY!

What: Progressive Goalkeeper Training, 6 Session Total, Jan – Mar

Where: Oakridge School Gym
When: Wednesdays – January 11, January 25, February 8, February 22, March 7, March 21
Who: U10 and under from 6pm to 7pm; limit 20.
U11 and up from 7pm to 8pm; limit 16.
Cost: $20 per keeper.
How: Register through ROYSA website, click on registration tab
Equipment: Indoor soccer shoes or tennis shoes; shin guards; ball; water.
Optional Equipment: Goalkeeper gloves, padded attire, tape.
FAQs:

Do I need to attend all six sessions? No, but training is progressive; keepers should sign up only if they can make most of the sessions.

Is it $20 per session? No, it’s $20 total for the six sessions.

Can I wear soccer cleats? No, you must wear indoor soccer shoes or gym shoes.

1) ROYSA COACH INTRODUCTORY CLINIC

These clinics are intended for U-5, U-6, U-7 and U-8 recreational coaches.

There are three parts to this series:

Session 1: Feb. 2nd 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Dribbling and Methods

Session 2: Feb. 15th 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Passing – Receiving / Care Prevention

Session 3: Feb. 29th 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Shooting & Team Management / Laws

Location: Keller Elementary Gym (Campbell & 12 Mile)

Class Size: 30 coaches

Instructor: Mike Ruddy

2) ROYSA ADVANCE COACHING CLINICS

These clinics are intended for all Renegades coaches and U-9 through U-19 Recreational Coaches.

There are four parts to this series:

Session 2: January 11th 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Passing / Receiving & Curriculum

Session 3: January 18th 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Shell Game & Shooting

Session 4: February 1st 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Attacking and Defending

Location: Keller Elementary Gym (Campbell & 12 Mile)

Class Size: 30 coaches

To sign up for a clinic you must be registered in the Blue Sombrero registration system. Once you are registered (or if you are already) log into your account and hit the red Register Now button to the right of your name. Then select the appropriate clinic.
Only active ROYSA coaches are eligible to participate in the clinics.
